MIDO, the Milan International Optical Eyewear Exhibition in Italy, was founded in 1970 and is held annually. By 2024, it will have a history spanning more than 50 years. In terms of both scale and quality, it is the most prominent and largest optical eyewear exhibition in the world, often referred to as the "Olympics" of the eyewear industry.

As the world’s most influential professional eyewear exhibition, MIDO has become a barometer reflecting global eyewear market trends and a weathervane guiding fashion consumption. Giovanni Vitaloni, President of MIDO, stated: “Since its establishment in 1970, and through more than 50 years of growth, each edition of MIDO has achieved significant transaction volumes and turnover. It is a high-profile, high-standard, and high-impact industry event that brings together industry resources, drives sector development, and fosters international exchange and cooperation.”

This year’s exhibition is expected to attract around 58,000 visitors and 1,305 exhibitors. Optical brands, manufacturers, designers, and professionals from related industries worldwide will gather to witness this major industry event.
